Coach Brady Beeson
My story is a bit more unusual than others, especially when it comes to creating opportunities for yourself. It took a lot of hard work, some luck, and more importantly a few people who are willing to take a chance on me.
I grew up in the great state of Minnesota, where most people around the United States consider “flyover” country. Like most other states in the Midwest, this is motivation. A topic that gives us something to prove otherwise.
A New Chapter
Not kicking in high school didn’t do me any services when I decided to try and be a starting placekicker in college. Still, I took three years to try and learn, improve and give myself a shot. I ended up transferring during my fifth year of eligibility when I wanted to give it one more shot – and it truly paid off. After being a three-year backup, in 2009 I transferred to the University of St. Thomas and played my final season for Glenn Caruso and the Tommies. While playing at UST, I set three school records – PATs in a game (9-9), PAT's in a season (58), and points in a season as a kicker (79). It was my only season as a starting kicker. Those records have since been smashed. Regardless, it set up a new chapter for me, and more importantly, that year our team started a new chapter for the UST program.

Kicking To A New Level
With the new book being opened, and potential opportunities to take my kicking to a new level, I quickly pursued just that. That’s when I met Michael Husted, former NFL kicker, and the rest was history. From there, I knew that I’d have to try and prove myself yet again at the arena level, which I’m fortunate enough to have done.
My First Shot
In 2012, I got my first shot and joined the Tri-Cities Fever, shortly before the playoffs. In my debut game, I went 4-5 in field goals (52,45,22 and 24 yards), including the game winner. I went on to be the IFL Special Teams Player of the week. In his two and a half seasons with the Fever, I tallied 39 field goals, 120 PAT's and 238 total points. I’m lucky to be the all-time leading scorer among Fever kickers (59 field goals, 165 PAT's and 342 total points).

I Wanted To Coach
After other stints in the IFL and AFL, I decided I wanted to coach, and give kids a shot at the proper coaching that I never had. Since retiring in 2016, I’ve had the luxury of working with college and high school kids across the country and being a Special Teams Coordinator at my alma mater – Apple Valley High School in Minnesota. Even more, I was able to be a special team’s analyst at the D-1 level at my other alma-mater – The University of St. Thomas.
